群馬県在住のコレクター様に所蔵して頂いてる作品や、新しいNFTシリーズの「MEGA」も展示しております。
なお、会期中に2回開催されるギャラリートークにて登壇予定です。

ポップ・アートの「ポップ」とは、「ポピュラー (popular, 大衆的な)」という言葉に由来しています。1950年代にイギリスで誕生し、60年代のアメリカで大きく花開いたポップ・アートは、大量生産・大量消費社会を背景に、マンガや商業広告のイメージを作品に取り込み、芸術の世界を親しみやすいものへと変えました。
本展覧会では、当館収蔵のロイ・リクテンスタイン、ロバート・ラウシェンバーグ、アンディ・ウォーホルら、1960～70年代のポップ・アート期前後のアメリカ美術を代表する作家たちの版画作品と、彼らに影響を受けた日本のアーティストの作品を中心に紹介。
「ポップ・アートの少し前」「ポップ・アートの隆盛」「かたちへの挑戦」「３つのイズム」「Love Pop」の5つのコーナーから、半世紀過ぎてなお愛されるポップ・アートの魅力に迫ります。
