7月28日は恒例の隅田川花火大会です。アートラボ・トーキョーでは、毎年この季節に江戸前の花火大会にちなみましてhanabi展を開催しております。当日パーティのあとに有志を募り両国橋まで繰り出します。もちろん会期中には現代美術家による花火にちなんだ作品展示も行っておりますので奮っておでかけくださいませ。 参加作家：あめのいち、岩清水さやか、小野田拓真、金子和彌、河野さおり、菅間圭子、桜井貴、ショウジョノトモ、地場賢太郎、nibinibu、星川菜々美、三杉レンジ、三友周太、村田いづ実、森洋史、森下泰輔、ヨシナリミチコ、わらおびびし
以下、hanabi展における、森自身のアーティストステートメントです。
この度、打上花火をテーマとしています。 ジャパニーズジャンクの王道である”ドラえもん”に加え、”スパイ大作戦”、ウォーホルの”キャンベルスープ缶”ならびにリキテンシュタインの”POP！"をアプロプリエーションしています。 2点の作品は２コマ漫画のような物語として設定されています。 大胆なリミックスをしているため、多少問題作となる部分もありましょうが、ジャンクつまりサブカルチャーなる人々に蔓延したイメージをメタ考察したいところでおります。 加えて、版権について抵触するのではないか？という至極一般論を唱え、心配するフリ（大きなお世話）をする人もいましょう。このような良識、一般論を破り進めていくことこそ、自分のファインアートに不可欠であり、今や制作の原動力や戦いの動機となっています。つまり、私の根性に「イタズラ」「ズッコケ」が常に内在しているからなのです。 ちなみに花火について、西洋および中国に起源があり、しかしそれらは、「のろし」であり、合図用に使われていたとされています。それらを改良し、芸術性を追及したのが日本の花火だそうです。オリジナルの良いところに気づき、かつ面白く改良するのは日本人らしいといえるところかもしれません。（森洋史）

In accordance with the timing of Sumida River Fireworks Festival, held on July 28th, Art Lab Tokyo presents 'hanabi'exhibition by contemporary artists from July 24th to 28th. On July 28th, we have a reception party at the gallery from 4pm to 6pm and then we go to see the fireworks to Ryogoku-bashi bridge.

The following is statement of Hiroshi Mori for hanabi exhibition.
This time, the theme is the fireworks. I simulate "Doraemon" which is the royal road of Japanese junk, "Mission Impossible" and Warhol's "Campbell's Soup" and Liquitenstein's "POP!".
Two pieces of work are set as a story like two-frame cartoon. Because I do bold remix, there may be some problems, but I would like to meta-think about the image spreading to junk or sub-culture people. In addition, does not it conflict with copyright? Some busybody advocate the extreme general theory that pretend to worry.
It is indispensable to my fine arts to break down such conscience and general theory, I would like to have my motivation for production and fighting now. In other words, because "my mischief" "stupid" and "funny" is always inherent in my guts.
By the way, about fireworks originated in the Occident and China, but they are "smoke", which is said to have been used for signaling. It seems that fireworks in Japan have improved the art and pursued artistry. I believe that Japanese can be notice of the good points of the original and can be improved interestingly. (Hiroshi Mori)
